Repair tips for louver window

TIME:2021-12-05 01:01:49

The curtains were strangled because they were caught in close proximity to the window frame. If the window frame is mounted on a wall or outside the window frame, it can be easily repaired. Use a hammer to gently knock the window frame outward, this method may also be used in the window frame inside the window frame. If the curtain is still clamped, remove it. You need to remove some wood from the rollers.

Remove the cylinder pin from the metal cap at one end of the roller. Use medium sandpaper to take some off this end of the roller. If the curtains are tightly closed, further adjustments may be needed. If the window frame is on the outside of the window frame, you can gently remove one of the window frames and fill the old screw hole with wood plastic. If the window frame is inside the window frame, in order for the curtain to fit the window frame, we need to professionally cut the curtain short or replace it with a new curtain.

When the installation distance between window frame is too far apart, can produce opposite problem. There are even cases where the curtain will fall down when you try to use it. If the window frames are on the outside of the window frames, tap them gently with a hammer to make them close together, or move one frame closer to the other. If the window frame is inside the window frame, spacers must be used to adjust the distance between the frames. Take off the curtain, cut a piece of thin paper board slightly smaller than the window frame, unscrew the screw to take off the window frame, put the gasket behind the window frame, and then fold the window frame on the gasket back to the original position, turn the screw. If necessary, place one or more thin spacers behind each window frame.

If the curtains don't roll up and down smoothly, there may be something wrong with the rollers. The curtain is operated by a strong coil spring placed in one end of a roller. The pin at the end of the roller to hold the curtain was flat; When you roll up or down the curtain, the pin tightens or loosens the spring. At the flat pin end of the roller, the spring is controlled by a ratchet mechanism. The ratchet mechanism stops the spring when you loosen the curtain. If a curtain is too tight or too loose, or if it doesn't stay in place when you loosen it, it's usually because of a spring or ratchet mechanism. Unless the spring is broken, this fault is easy to fix.

If the curtains don't stay in one place, the springs are too loose. Pull the curtain down and rotate the roller a few times. If the springs are particularly loose, pull the curtain down about halfway. Lift the flat pin end of the roller out of its window frame, and then roll the curtain tightly by hand. Put the roller back in the window frame and try pulling the curtain again. If it still can't stay, repeat the process.

If the curtains are snapped up and hard to pull down, it's because the springs are too tight. After rolling up the curtain, lift the flat pin end of the roller out of the window frame and manually loosen the curtain two or three times. Put the roller back into the window rack and test run. Tweak it further if needed.

If the curtain still can't stay down, maybe the ratchet mechanism needs cleaning. Lower the curtain and remove the metal cap on the roller flat pin end. Vacuum away all visible dust and wipe the ratchet mechanism clean with a soft cloth. The ratchet mechanism is then sprayed with silicon lubricant. Put the metal hat back on and rehang the curtains.

Venetian blinds are usually more practical than blinds because they last longer. Check out the next section for tips on how to make your Venetian blinds work, no matter how old they are. Venetian blinds are one of the most practical and durable curtains, but there are many problems after installation. When the cord breaks or the ladder strap looks worn and worn, installing new cord and ladder strap can give your blinds a fresh look, and these materials are usually sold as a package.

Replace the rope

If the blinds are clean or well maintained and the old drawstring is not broken, there is no need to remove the blinds, you can just install a new drawstring. Here are the brief steps to replace the Venetian Blinds drawstring:

Step 1: Pull down the blinds so that the blades are tilted horizontally. The end of the rope is fixed inside the lower rail. If the lower rail is made of wood, the knotted end of the rope is simply nailed to the end of the strap. If the lower rail is metal, pull out the spring box lid and clamps to reveal the knotted rope. Untie the knot at the opposite end of the drawstring and attach the end of the new string to this end. Tape the two ends tightly together.

Step 2: Gently pull the old rope, and pull the new rope up through the blade here, over the top, and through the control pulley. Leave extra rope for the new rope and continue to pull the rope down so that it passes through the blade on the side of the rope.

Step 3: When the end of the new rope knot reaches the lower rail, loosen the old rope, set it aside, and cut off the excess rope at the top. Tie the ends of the new rope in a knot and secure the new rope in the same manner as the old rope. Replace the spring box cover of the lower rail, remove the belt clip from the old rope and install it on the new rope. Adjust the length of the rope with a clip until the blinds work smoothly.
